Harrumphs privacy

Harrumphs is operated by Massasoit Advisory LLC. This page says what the app does with information. Last updated October 2026.

What stays on your phone

The characters you keep, the cards pinned to your Board, the lines you teach characters, and the name you sign cards with are stored on your phone only. We don't have an account system and we don't receive them.

Contacts

When you pick someone to send a card to, Apple's contact picker shows your contacts and gives the app only the one person you choose. The app uses their first name on the card and keeps nothing else. It never reads your contact list.

Sending cards

A card is sent as a link, through the apps you choose, such as Messages. The card's link carries the card number, the character, and the first names you entered, so the person you send it to can open it. Anyone with the link can see those names.

When you send a card, our server keeps a one-time ticket for it, with the card number, the character and a random code, so only one person can keep that character and so a card can be opened by its code. It holds no names, notes or anything about you, and tickets expire after a year.

What we don't do

No advertising, no tracking, no analytics, and no selling of information. The app doesn't collect data about you.

Purchases

If you buy card sets, Apple handles the payment. We don't see your payment details.
